Fly Tying Classes
Fly tying classes will start on
Monday 9th November
and run throughout the winter months and end in February.
Classes are held at the Ammanford Social Club (Pick) every Monday
night
from 7pm till 9pm. The classes cost a one off payment of five pounds for adults and
two pounds
for juniors and youth. All hooks, materials and tools are
supplied free of charge or you can bring your own kit if you want
to. The classes are open to anyone who wishes to attend whether they
are a member of the association or not.
Malcolm Edwards is the
senior tutor at the classes and a better fly tying tutor you could
not wish for. Malcolm can be seen regularly at all the major
game and country fairs held all over Wales and England and is
amongst the best fly tier's in the United Kingdom today.
The
other tutors at the classes are Peter Norman, Peter Davies, Dai Wigley who are all good tier's too and are there to help you
learn the art of tying flies.
So, if you want to learn how to tie a fly and use that same fly
to catch a fish then these classes are for you to do just that.
